Rumble Young Man Rumble!!!!!
Last night, as I saw Kobe score 55 points in the second half of a game where he would eventually score 81, I thought about all the people that certified Kobe hating journalists said were better than Kobe Bryant like Dwayne Wade and Manu Ginobili last year.(Both great players) Based on his performance last night, and this season thus far, I would say that Mahalia Jackson is singing and the casket is being lowered on that flimsy argument. As the Heat have a very uninspired season, and Shaq is gaining weight like he has a fucking gravy I.V in his arm, I would say that Jerry Buss made the right decision.

Okay, I'm not a Kobe fan but I have to give it to him on this one ... 81 points in one game is amazing. So, why was he being dissed on the radio this morning for "being selfish"?
He is on FIRE. Kobe is an imperfect black man, scratch that, BIG black man, that married a woman that wasn't black and gives the "fuck you" to whoever doesn't like him. He's bound to get criticized. I heard that comment about him being "selfish" on the radio as well. Funny, nobody said that about Wilt...
Now all the Lakers need are 4 players behind him who can actually contribute. Kobe can't score 81 every game. They need to get him some good secondary players.
PS: I still can't stand his butt as a person. But, as a player- yeah, he's good. ;)
a GRAVY iv?
Man,you be killin' me.
Did his team mates have floor seats to the game?..
Great achievement nonetheless
Go Miami
He's got one decent player around him - Lamar Odom, and he's got to utilise him more. Smush Parker has game, but not sure whether he's the perfect point guard to complement Kobe, he's more of a playground type point guard.
What he needs is a decent big man (Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm don't count). Someone that can score in the post, rebound, block shots. JO would be perfect but he's not on the trading block.
Oh, and Artest and Kobe would have been SICK!
There's no way anyone in the NBA coulda scored close to 81. Although there's others with Similar scoring ability (TMAC, AI), none has the same amount of self belief, confidence and arrogance as Kobe.
once Kb8 gets better teammates, and utilises them, he'll have as many rings as MJ.
No Miami..
Lamar Odom has made more than one bonehead decision late in the game that costs the lakers the win. He should be traded when his stock is high. Having a 6'10" point guard that likes to dip his shoulder and drive left does NOT fit well into the triangle offense.
Smush parker has great talent and needs to grow up.
these 2 players need to learn to become role players, and know their position. the rest of the players need to step up and accept their roles. (Walton should be traded for his dad).
Kobe deserves the credit. He has led the team by example, proved his (many) critics wrong, gotten the fans back into his club, and made the Lakers a playoff contender in the crowded west.
Shaq- on the other hand- has gained 75 lbs and given his club a worse record when he is on the floor that when Alonzo is.
Pathetic
can i talk about how tired i am of fat athletes? i really can't take it. hooooooo-leeeeee shit! wtf? lay of the krispy kremes, we pay you to move! well, someone does anyway. and i got the cable to watch the ish!! geez!
bein in pittsburgh, all season i've been talking about how hideously fat jerome bettis is! wtf??? you're a RUNNING back but you huff and puff after a yard and a half, and that ain't just the asthma, dude. ugh. i've never been a big shaq fan either. that is a fat ass baskeball player if i've ever seen one. and truly, kobe off the court makes me want to shake and choke him, but who can take away that 81 point joy? geez. not me. and amazingly, they still suck. can't escape the damn ego huh? but i will admit the headlines after the next game "only 32 after 81 point game" or some b.s. like that did piss me off. i'm like wtf is he supposed to score 82 the next game or what? damn let the man enjoy his ish!!
