Olbermann's Special Comment on FOX News' Clinton Interview

I know in the past when I have said things like "That woman had the smelliest crotch this side of the equator!!", or when I told a young mother in the grocery store "Your kid's head is the biggest I've ever seen!!", I understand when people accuse me of hyperbole. But my idiocy aside, Keith Olbermann is by far the most informative and honest newsman on cable television. I know that is like praising a retarded kid because he doesn't double dribble during a pick-up game of basketball based on the sorry state of affairs T.V news is in nowadays, it's just good to not have to put that mental filter on when you watch a news show. Because his hero was the great Edward R. Murrow, at the end of each broadcast Olbermann says the parting words that Murrow made famous, "Good Night, and Good luck". I find his choice of words fitting, because even though I've been known for my brand of hyperbole, I do feel that Keith Olbermann is the Edward R. Murrow of our day to be quite honest. Even though there is no comparing the bravery that Edward R. Murrow showed as he was committed to telling the American people the truth despite the poisonous atmosphere surrounding Joseph McCarthy and those communist witch-hunts, I see a reminder of said bravery in Olbermann, a man unafraid to tell it like it is despite a news media that has been neutered during the entire Bush Administration.

Go home and sell seeds!

Lol! That's classic.

I do have to disagree with Olbermann one thing. As an attorney who had studied Disney at great lengths, I can honestly say that Disney NEVER had a corporate reputation to abandon. ;)

It was painfully clear upon seeing his work on ESPN that Keith was capable of so much more than just reporting on kicks, throws and balls. Sport is the toy department of life and his bright, witty outspoken nature is well served on that MSNBC show.

Well, all the passion and tender loving admiration for Clinton's realism and the bravado that coat Mr Olbermann's Special Comment comes with a little pint of "why now?"
It took him 4+ years to realise that Bush was a fluke? Did Mr Olbermann's vision have to become clearer only after Clinton appeared on the Fox(Dub-YaTV)-attempted sandbag?
These questions and more tend to make me pity American Journalism which seems to have been tainted by Hollywood Events rather than real news. I am sorry but it is kind of late to ring the truth into Dub-Ya right now because he has been in power for a term and half and still has three years to go. He even was reelected when the country's economy was at its worse since the Great Depression. When US soldiers were dying under false pretense of fighting a war on terror, when he continuously lied to the country about WMDs, when he showed us that he cared less for the Katrina-ridden victims, etc while we all stand by and watch.
Yes, it is true that team Dub-Ya et co led the American people in the biggest lie the history of the country will ever know, but I don't think it had to take the heroistic tremor of Clinton's well-portioned and truthful fact presentation during the interview on Dub-YaTV to show that the people of the US were lied to.
SAD, how we chose to sit back and watch while people get killed, the economy crumbles, hurricaines wipe out cities; and unless someone says we need to step in and help, no one else wants to think up the initiative. Just Sad.

did you ever stop to think that he says that line at the end of every broadcast so people like you will compare him to murrow? i mean you are comparing murrow to a former espn reporter. he does all this shit to get attention and to be a big reporter....

@thatwhitedude: I hear you, but if he wants people to compare him to Murrow, so what??? I mean, the guy was a goild standard when it comes to journalism, to be mention in the same breath as him is an honor. The same way basketball players wouldn't mind being compared to Jordan.. Keith tells the truth, so even if he is garnering comparisons, so what, he is telling the truth doing so.

As far as I know, he's been criticizing the current Bush administration for a while now, before this Clinton interview anyway. I don't think it took him 4+ years to realize a douche bag is running our country. anyway, i'm glad that somebody has the guts to say something about it all.
